Pilot a Tool
ATLIS often pilots new technologies with small groups of faculty. These pilot programs help us understand the pedagogical impact and user experience considerations before potentially adopting the tool at a larger scale. Our partners at CUIT and the Columbia CTL also run pilot programs. Below, you'll find information about the current pilot opportunities for Barnard faculty.
ATLIS has a pilot program for faculty and instructional staff who are interested in access to a ChatGPT Team account. A ChatGPT Team account has the same features as a ChatGPT Pro account - including access to image generation, custom GPT creation, advanced data analysis tools, and advanced voice capabilities - with additional privacy protections for your data. By default, your data will not be shared with OpenAI or used to train future versions of ChatGPT. Because we only have a limited number of accounts available, eligibility is limited: If you would like to participate, please send an email to atlis@barnard.edu and we'll let you know the next steps.
Our partners at Columbia are conducting a pilot program using IBL.ai. This tool allows faculty to create custom AI chatbots for their courses, which students can access through CourseWorks (Canvas). A limited number of Barnard faculty can participate in this program; please email us at atlis@barnard.edu if you are interested and we will connect you with the team at Columbia.
Is there a specific tool that you're interested in using, which isn't currently available through Barnard or Columbia? We'd love to hear about it! Please fill out the Request an Instructional Technology form to tell us more about the tool and we'll see if it might be a fit for a future pilot
